Within this term’s DT project, we have been using our wood work skills and understanding of joints to create Viking Long boats. Although building a perfect cube was challenging, working in pairs made things much easier!
Our class stick insects have continued to thrive this term and are growing at an astronomical rate! It has been brilliant watching them develop from eggs, into nymphs and now fully fledged adults. This process has taught us a lot about animal life cycles and allowed us to understand the importance of creating environments suited to an animal’s specific needs.
To support our use of adventurous vocabulary in English, we have really enjoyed using Spelling Shed as a way of practising our spellings and exploring new words. The hive games in particular have improved our speed and accuracy!
