In year 5, we’ve had an incredibly busy start to the new academic year!
To begin with, Mr Peacock, from Wigan Music service, has joined us every Wednesday afternoon to help us get to grips with our new, brass instruments. As a away of celebrating our progress, end of term performances will be held in the school hall, but there will be more details provided regarding these events closer to the time.
To develop our love for reading and help extend our sporting skills, Latics Literacy have been in class every Thursday morning. So far, we have loved exploring the Tom Palmer’s stories and are looking forward to our presenting our learning in our final performance.
As part of this terms’ Local Study, Mr Livesey and Mr West led us on a tour around Aspull and taught us all about our amazing local history. We will go on a second walk during the summer term which will focus on the geographical features of Aspull.
